With Seth Rollins turning on Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns to join Evolution, the move essentially ended The Shield as we know it. Sure, Reigns and Ambrose may continue to team together for some time, but it just wont have the same dynamic without Rollins. At two different periods in the groups history WWE teased the beginning of a storyline breakup. Nothing ever came of it, and the group was turned babyface just a couple months ago. Suddenly, after the group appeared to have vanquished Evolution once and for all to begin their next chapter, they were broken up. Rollins turned on his friends and gave them one hell of a chair beating. No one saw it coming. By the sound of things, it appears that Vince McMahon made the call to turn Rollins perhaps just days before it went down. Due to Raws struggling ratings as of late, he may have felt he needed to do something big. This was not the big idea that he should have picked. It was a move that many immediately wished wouldnt have happened. With the way WWE storylines have carried out as of late, fans rightfully dont seem to have high hopes for where this is headed.
