WWE: 6 Reasons Why Seth Rollins Shouldn't Have Turned Heel

6. It Makes No Sense

For months, we witnessed The Shield and Evolution battle each other nearly to the death. From sledgehammer shots to the head, to jumping off of high places onto each other, the risk of severe bodily injury was high. Triple H and his cronies were three common enemies that the young trio could rally around and hopefully eliminate from power. After The Shield mowed through Evolution at Payback, it felt like the feud had to be over. Then just one night later, Seth Rollins decided to turn on his teammates and friends because€.well because€well it€™s not quite clear, and it€™s bound to not make a lot of sense. After all, just 24 hours before his turn, Rollins was viciously beaten by Evolution, and could have been pinned had his opponents not taken their sweet time. Somehow, HHH must have called him up and offered him something that completely made him change his mind and join his side. What was it? Money? Some nice suits? A best of HHH promos DVD? Whatever it was, it must have been huge as WWE didn€™t drop a single storyline hint over the past few weeks that something like this was about to go down. By the time SmackDown aired, WWE still hadn€™t figured out why Rollins turned! HHH was relegated to saying €œYou want to know why? You want to know why?€ over and over again as if he was stalling to kill time. Rollins declined to give us an explanation too. This is most likely because creative is struggling to think of something, anything that will make sense. Forget storytelling, just go for the shock! And to think that all of those recent Vince Russo rumors were of him consulting for TNA.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
