WWE.comThe great thing about having WWE Network is the ability to watch any WWE, WCW or ECW Pay-Per-View event any time you want. There are so many of them to pick from. The quality of them are also great, so the $9.99 monthly value is tremendous in addition to everything else we can get on WWE Network. Since a lot of us have WWE Network at our disposal and we have the ability to watch any show at any time, we thought it would be cool to do a feature about some of these past events. The idea is that I'll watch a PPV from the past and talk about what was good on the show as well as what was bad. The awesome/sucked format is what will be used. For the first one we're going to go back 15 years to April 25, 1999 and an event called Backlash in Providence, Rhode Island. Backlash was the PPV that followed WrestleMania for many years, so there were some rematches from WrestleMania 15 on it. WWE.comIt was a year where the WWE product was really hot as they were kicking WCW's ass by this point, but the match quality wasn't always the best. There were still some exciting things that happened that were definitely fun to re-live again all these years later. I re-watched the three hour event and have plenty of things to say about it, so let's get right to it. We begin with the five awesome things and then bring it home with the five things that sucked.
