5. The Hot Crowd Most Of The Night
WWE.comWhat was really evident from watching the show again was how hot the crowd was for everything. They were into all the promos, they knew all the catchphrases and they reacted perfectly for everything. In today's WWE you might get specific crowds in Chicago, New York, Toronto and some of the other great ones that are loud the whole show, but it's not like it was 15 years ago. It was so refreshing to see how loud the fans were. This isn't about ripping on today's crowds at all. It's just a reminder that when the product is really hot that the fans will let you know it. They make the noise that helps carry the show. It was so loud when Austin made his entrance. Nobody can compete with that today except Daniel Bryan when he was really hot and even then it's not as loud as what Austin received on a weekly basis for many years. Sign of the night? Probably "Chuck's Ass Stinks" although if your name is Chuck then you probably didn't like it too much.
