WCW fans, rejoice: according to a new report from Pro Wrestling Sheet, WWE could be on the verge of resurrecting several old pay-per-view concepts from the long-dead promotion.

The write-up states that the company are seriously considering reaching into WCW's legacy for future events, though there's no word on a timescale, and no indication of specific names they'd consider pilfering. Sadly, the fact that WWE have already confirmed their two October pay-per-views (Hell In A Cell and TLC) means there probably won't be room for Halloween Havoc or Fall Brawl this year.

WWE have borrowed several WCW PPV names in the past. They ran the Great American Bash from 2004-2008, before renaming it The Bash in 2009, and reviving the concept in 2012. They also ran Clash of Champions as a Raw-branded show in September 2016, with the event set to return this coming December.

The news could mean events like Starrcade and World War 3 appearing on WWE's calendar, or perhaps the long-awaited return of WarGames - a dual cage stipulation that traditionally took place at Fall Brawl. Regardless, WWE can't go wrong if it means less names like 'Great Balls Of Fire.'
