WWE favourite and recent 2023 Draft announcement guest Teddy Long says he'd turn down any overtures from the company about a full-time return.

Long told ITR he had zero interest in ever bagging a permanent role on television again. The former longtime SmackDown General Manager had been asked whether or not he'd like to return as an on-screen authority figure.

The answer, quite definitively, is a firm no.

Teddy said he "just wants to enjoy the rest of [his] life". The fan favourite, who earned meme-worthy status for consistently putting wrestlers in tag-team matches or "one-on-one with The Undertaker", is happy to drop in as an occasional guest. That's all he's interested in doing these days though.

Long has said in other interviews that his full-time days in pro wrestling are over. However, he appreciates being asked the question, because it shows that people still want to see him on programming. That means a lot, but it isn't going to happen at this stage in his life.

Ex-GM Teddy also revealed during his recent media sprint that he "got high" with RVD backstage during the Draft specials. Let's hope he did that little dance.
