Booker T has said he's "available" to replace outgoing commentator Pat McAfee on WWE SmackDown.

The Hall Of Famer told Wrestling Inc that he would "never go looking for anything like that", but would listen if the company came knocking again. Booker also said it's in any veteran's best interests to make sure they're open to negotiations and ready to play again if needed.

Book has previously worked as an announcer on Raw and SmackDown, so he would slot neatly into the role if required. Fan reaction on Twitter...hasn't exactly been favourable to rumours that the former World Champ could replace McAfee in the commentary hot seat though.

Ex-WCW, WWE and TNA man Booker wouldn't be the top pick for most.

He doesn't really care about that though, and nothing has been set in stone just yet. It's far more likely that WWE will draft in Raw's Corey Graves to pull double duty alongside Michael Cole on Friday nights, at least for the first few weeks of Pat's absence.

As reported, McAfee has taken a gig with ESPN that makes working SmackDown impossible. He'll be a huge miss for the show.
