Johnny Gargano claimed to not know what his future holds in a promo that closed on him getting destroyed by a chair-swinging Grayson Waller during last night's WWE NXT.

The NXT Triple Crown Champion had promised to "tell everything" on Tuesday's episode, having participated in a WarGames loss pitting his NXT black and gold team against a group representing the developmental brand's 2.0 reboot. This is ahead of his current WWE contract expiring this Friday, 10 December.

Gargano said the following on his future, doing so after a meaty promo covering almost the full breadth of his NXT run:-

"I don't know what my immediate future holds. That's up in the air right now still. I may do some things here and there. But I do know one thing for sure -- and that's in February I'm going to start the most important job of my life. Because I'm going to be a dad."

Johnny's wife, Candice LeRae, is due to give birth to their first child in February.

Waller, a relative NXT newcomer compared to Gargano, laid the 34-year-old out to close the show, battering him with a steel chair, putting him into the ring steps, then putting Gargano through one of the announce tables. One would usually assume that this was done to establish a feud, but there is still no word on whether or not Gargano has re-signed with WWE.
