WWE RAW 7/8/2013 Review: 5 Things We Learned

By JD Shrader /

The Money In The Bank 2013 pay per view is just around the corner. With the final RAW television broadcast in the books as we head full speed into this Sunday's PPV, let's take a quick look at 5 things we learned before we climb the ladder for that coveted MIB briefcase:

5. The Wyatt Family (Finally) Debuts

I think I'm probably one of the few that still are not entirely sold on this Wyatt Family gimmick and the huge rollout they are getting from WWE Creative. For me it feels like WWE is trying to capitalize on the success and popularity of the Duck Dynasty television program, by giving us characters that look like the DD guys, and giving them the persona that they are from the back country of West Virginia, where they live as psychopathic hillbillies. It doesn't work for me, it feels flat and forced and I am just not into it. That said, I'm also still not sure where they are headed. Last night's debut was so-so, but another outside group attacking another WWE Superstar is old news and a recycled idea, certainly within the last 9 months. Does this remove Kane from the PPV this weekend, or does it simply give him an out for another loss? Who knows where this endgame is headed, but the entire segment did not work for me; another missed opportunity!
