WWE Royal Rumble 2011 Roster: Where Are They Now?
Where are all 46 wrestlers who worked WWE's Royal Rumble 2011 a decade on?
If somebody had told you 10 years ago that WWE would be about to produce a Royal Rumble in front of exactly zero fans, you'd have called them a liar. If that same person also predicted that the man who won that 2011 Rumble would be on trial for aggravated kidnapping, then you'd also probably tell them where to go.
Both those things are happening in 2021.
It'd been a long decade since WWE proudly boasted that they'd put on the "biggest Rumble ever" in 2011. 40 wrestlers entered the match - that's 10 more than the traditional standard, which the company has since returned to. Apparently, beefing the numbers up was a one-off experiment and/or a total ball-ache for those formatting the cherished brawl.
As with the 2001 recap, only those who physically worked inside the ring on 30 January 2011 are eligible here. Anyone who wasn't on the main pay-per-view (sorry, Curt Hawkins) or acted as a valet (again, apologies to Vickie Guerrero) didn't make the cut.
Trust the process, because this list is long enough. There are 46 acts in total to plough through...
46. Edge
Then: Edge was coming to the end of his full-time run. Looking back, it's obvious to see that he was physically struggling through aches and pains to produce worthwhile matches, but his World Title defence against Dolph Ziggler was still marvellous.
Now: He's back, and his 2020 Rumble return may never be topped. Edge has declared himself for the 2021 Rumble too, and could be a possible WWE or Universal Title contender later in the year. Nobody could grudge him that glory.
