A SmackDown house show later this week is the latest in a long line of live events to be cancelled due to the ongoing current events you'll be all too aware of as you read these very words.

The news broke via Ticketmaster and the arena's website amidst several other events in Mobile getting the chop over the weekend. It joins a host of other shows that have had to be pulled or postponed. WrestleMania remains the outlier - itself the subject of humongous speculation as the staring contest between Vince McMahon and the Tampa authorities rolls on like a post-dive Raw segment.

Mobile, Alabama's Civic Center was the site of the blue brand event set to take place just 24 hours before the Fox show hailed from an empty Performance Center for the second week in a row. That show had originally been booked for the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana before falling victim to the latest round of pandemic-related cuts.

Both shows should hopefully be subject to rescheduling as, if and when things return to some form of normality. Refund details for the events in both Mobile and New Orleans are set to be made available soon.
