WWE has spent much of 2020 producing content from the safety of the company's own Performance Center, but that all changed last week when Friday Night SmackDown introduced the world to the ThunderDome - an innovative concept that allowed fans to return to the fray in a virtual capacity. This also gave the-powers-that-be the opportunity to give SummerSlam that special feel they've been longing for.

As a result, The 'Biggest Event of the Summer' didn't emanate from the PC and, instead, it took place in the Amway Center as the superstars of Raw and SmackDown put on a spectacle that, for the first time in a long time, actually felt larger-than-life.

Dominik Mysterio made his in-ring debut, Asuka competed for not one but two championships and a vicious Braun Strowman sought to take out 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt in their Universal Championship bout, leaving the WWE Universe with so much more to talk about than just the new setting. And talk they did.
