WWE's Roman Reigns Just Got Pinned For First Time In HOW LONG?
This has to be a modern-day record for not having your shoulder put on the mat.
As much as a major deal is made about Roman Reigns' 1,000-plus days as World Champion, perhaps an even more impressive record involving the Tribal Chief fell on Saturday.
Reigns was pinned by cousin Jey Uso in the Bloodline Civil War tag match at WWE Money in the Bank. It marked the first time Roman was pinned in a match since December 15, 2019, a period spanning 3.5 years, or 1,294 days. During that time Reigns had been involved in 55 televised matches, though that pace had slowed dramatically the past year (he's only wrestled in 16 TV matches since the start of 2022).

Roman has been the most protected wrestler on the roster in quite some time, perhaps too much so. There certainly have been times were Reigns could have taken a pinfall, most notably when John Cena and Kevin Owens beat Reigns and Sami Zayn on SmackDown in December, with Zayn taking the pin.
This is also the latest in a series of cracks in the Bloodline's foundation, with Sami and then both Usos emancipating themselves from the Tribal Chief. Roman getting pinned was sold as proof that he's human and not the infallible leader of the Samoan Dynasty.
