Brock Lesnar is WWE's most expensive wrestler. The company pays him five million dollars a year to work four matches, in addition to making two or three Raw appearances in the weeks before those matches. Most of the year he's just back at home, shooting deer and working on his tractors. It is a delicate situation for WWE, one they need to balance very carefully to make sure that five million dollar investment is worth it. Unfortunately, they haven't done too good of a job. Far too often in the past three years, he's been given away too cheaply. Vince McMahon could be getting way more value for his investment, reaping far more money back for that five million dollars. They've got a top end product in Lesnar which is too often marketed and sold at the same price as their standard wrestlers. Compare this to the way Lesnar would have been used in the UFC. Dana White was trying to lure him back to MMA with an offer of five million dollars per a fight, on the basis of three fights per a year. That's fifteen million dollars the UFC would have paid him, ten million more than he's going to earn in the WWE. The UFC would have made all of that money back, and then some, by promoting and pricing him appropriately. This feature will take a look at how WWE gave Brock away too cheaply, and how they can make more money back on this investment.
