10. Doctor Strange

Doctor Strange was one of the earliest Marvel Comics hits, having debuted in the 1960s. He lucked out immediately, having a brilliant villain named Dormammu that is now heavily connected to the character’s origin.

Strange has had to deal with Dormammu’s attempts to invade and take our world from us. He is responsible for a lot of horrible things happening on Earth, such as the Great Fire of London in 1666 as well as Jack the Ripper’s creation.
