10 Comic Book Characters Who Have NEVER Had Their Identities Exposed

10. Bloodshot

Bloodshot made his first appearance in Valiant's Eternal Warrior in 1992 before taking over his own title the following year. Ever since he was first published, he's been a popular character, and he's making his feature film debut via Vin Diesel's performance in February 2020, but if you don't know who he is, neither does the public... at least, not in the Valiant Universe.

Bloodshot was once a member of the mob, but after he entered the Federal Witness Protection program, he was betrayed by a member of the FBI to an experimental program called "Project Rising Spirit." He was injected with a billion nanites, that took complete control of his body, giving him powers of regeneration and shapeshifting as they course through his bloodstream, hence the name, Bloodshot.

In some way, he's like Wolverine in the Marvel Universe, as he was the product of a government program intent on creating the ultimate killing machine. He also had his memories wiped, forgetting that he was once Angelo Mortalli.

The secret of Bloodshot's true identity was erased from his mind, but it's also never been leaked to the public. In subsequent volumes, his identity and past were tweaked, but they remain a secret from him, and the rest of the world.
