9. Hack/Slash

One of the more natural pairings on this list (no, really) Army Of Darkness vs Hack/Slash saw Ash meet (and briefly fight in grand comic book tradition over a misunderstanding) slayer of supernatural serial killers Cassie Hack (of Image Comics' Hack/Slash fame).

Ash travels to Minnesota, tracking down the Necronomicon, which has fallen into the hands of sinister forces who would sell its pages to the highest bidder. Taking in a visit to prison, a Wild Wild West tourist attraction, and a trip back in time to Ancient Greece, it's a fun romp through both series, with its hero and heroine on fine form.

This would be neither hero's only adventure with another property: while Ash had plenty to come (see also: literally the rest of this list) Cassie would later meet pint-sized serial killer Chucky, who she wouldn't get on with nearly so well.
