10 Comic Book Inventions That Could Actually Change The World

10. The Fantasticar

Reed Richards may be a prize-winning nerd, but that dude has some awesome wheels under him (well, sort of). When it comes to automobile design, Xibit ain€™t got sh*t on Jack Kirby, the artist who designed the first wondrous, dreamlike Fantasticar in 1962. The Fantasticar (which flew, of course) could also split itself apart, creating separate vehicles for the individual Fantastic Four teammates to pilot, something that applies to all later versions of the car. In 1963, The Fantasticar was re-designed by Kirby and looked even better than before, Johnny Storm (who had been established as a gear head in the very first issue of FF) took the lead in the design of the vehicle, while Richards supplied the technical expertise. This meant that The Fantasticar, in addition to being a practical superhero battle vehicle, could now also be used to pick up chicks. Imagine going out for the day in a flying Fantasticar. If your girlfriend wants to go clothes shopping, she can simply fly off in her own vehicle and you can meet her somewhere later, or even head off home!
