10 Comic Villains With The Highest Body Count
10. Nitro
Death Toll: 600
Nitro is one of those villains who has been around for decades but only recently became a major player in the killing spree game. He did play a part in the death of the Mar-Vell, but his biggest crime by far was blowing up the city of Stamford in Connecticut during the prelude to Civil War.
That single explosion resulted in the deaths of 600 people, which included 60 children in a nearby elementary school. That event kicked off the Superhero Registration Act, which in turn, kicked off Marvel's most contentious crossover event in history, the Civil War.
While his kill count is certainly high with around 600 dead in a single event, he stands at the lower end of the scale for this list. That being said, his actions caused the Civil War to erupt, which resulted in the deaths of Goliath, Captain America (sort of), and many more.
It could be said that Nitro's actions were some of the more damaging to the superhero community within the Marvel Universe. While it doesn't increase the number of dead at his feet, it certainly indicates the level of impact Nitro's actions had on the entire Marvel Universe.
