Believe it or not, this embarrassing basket case of a villain is a foe of Batman and Robin's. Introduced by the highly-esteemed Grant Morrison in Batman #666, Pyg is a particularly twisted scientist whose end is to make all humans perfect, which really means morphing them into his "Dollotrons," people devoid of gender and identity with a doll-like mask fused onto their faces. To make matters worse, this guy isn't alone. He has a whole "Circus of Strange," since as it turns out he was just a circus boss named Lazlo Valentin that went crazy. How a crazed circus boss went to the mask of the quite unmenacing pig, an animal that the circus has no use for at all, is quite the mystery. What's especially disappointing is writers behind Professor Pyg's creation were Grant Morrison and Andy Kubert, the same people responsible for the dark tales surrounding Bruce Wayne's son by way of Talia Al Ghul, Damian. Morrison himself described Professor Pyg as "one of the weirdest, most insane characters that's ever been in Batman," which he probably thought he was giving himself a compliment, but weirder isn't better. Between the pig mask, the Circus of Strange, the doll faces, and really everything about him, Professor Pyg is a character that leaves readers begging for the memory of him to be erased from their brains. Not because he's that terrifying, but because he's just that freaky.
