Ta-Nehisi Coates' foray into the world of Wakanda is something comics fans simply have to cherish, and with the writer having presided over two years' worth of Black Panther stories, his is shaping up to be one of the all time great runs in Marvel's library.

A Nation Under our Feet - the first of Coates' Black Panther comics - is the perfect entry point for new readers looking to get into the character's comics. It's fresh, intuitive, accessible, and ludicrously intelligent - and the perfect reintroduction to a character that had absented the spotlight a little too long for our liking.

Coates' first two arcs are actually collected under one gorgeous deluxe hardcover, of which Brian Stelfreeze must surely deserve credit for. His art in Coates' comic is simply phenomenal, and compliments the opening story-arc wonderfully.

In any case, Black Panther is the best Marvel comic going, and one every Marvel fan should be able to enjoy.
