10 Harmless Comics Villains Who Became Badasses

3. Stilt-Man

'Stilt-Man is actually kind of a badass' is not a sentence that anyone would have expected to hear now or until the end of time. But it's also in no way a lie, as - for legitimately one of the dorkiest dudes in comics ever, Wilbur Day has an entire redemption arc as his storyline progresses.

Admittedly, said story begins with him retiring as Stilt-Man - in the smartest move of the villain's life up until this point. Day then manages to form a genuine romance with fellow villain Princess Python - which would see the pair become married - and takes up a new job as a law enforcer for the government, making him infinitely more badass than he had been at any point prior.

Although Stilt-Man would be murdered by the Punisher when the two crossed paths, he would be cloned back to life during the events of Dead No More: The Clone Conspiracy, which means he also gets a sweet revival story to boot.
