10 Horror Comics You Must Read If You Love The Walking Dead
10. The Walking Dead Deluxe
Where better for a Walking Dead-starved Walking Dead fan to start reading than with... The Walking Dead?
The Walking Dead: Deluxe starts the saga all over again... but this time, in color. Fans can experience Rick Grimes's epic journey all over again, as colored by Dave McGaig.
As well as giving Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard's gore-geous artwork the full-colour treatment, The Walking Dead: Deluxe also treats fans to a series of incredible variant covers and material from the cutting room floor.
With each issue closing with a commentary from Robert Kirkman himself, its a fascinating insight into how the series evolved as it went on (Lori and Rick, for example, were initially set for post-apocalyptic 'divorce', instead of their ultimate fates). That Kirkman leaves the original letters pages also intact is a fun peek as to how things eventually turned out - especially in 2003-era Kirkman constantly, desperately angling for a TV adaptation.
Best of all, with a whopping 193 issues to come, there's a whole lot of Deluxe Walking Dead to come.
