10. Storm Teaches Us Patience

We'll start this off with a simple, straightforward lesson from everyone's favourite weather controlling mutant.

In Days of Future Past, the X-Men are facing off against The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and Wolverine is preparing to start slicing and dicing his opponents. But, Storm commands him to put his claws away as his other abilities are more than enough for the fight. She knows that once the claws come out, blood and body parts will start flying.

Wolverine doesn't need to use his claws, he wants to, because it's what he's used to. Taking that sentiment and drawing it out a bit further, you could also see it as another way of saying that you don't always have to go big or go home.

Not everything requires maximum input. So, the next time you find yourself in a situation where you feel as though you might be pushing yourself too hard ask yourself if it's even worth it. Most of the time it isn't.

In short, learn to chill out.
