10 Insane Alternative Versions Of The Fantastic Four You Won't Believe
10. The New Fantastic Four
One of the things that made the Fantastic Four one of the best superhero teams ever is their close ties through friendship and family. They bonded together after receiving their powers, and have since become one of the most important teams in the Marvel Universe.
That's the normal team, but things are a bit different for the so-called "New Fantastic Four," which debuted in Fantastic Four #347. Unlike the original team, there's no real reason that makes sense for this group to be together outside the fact that they make up Marvel's most popular characters at the time.
In the issue, the Fantastic Four are captured by De'Lila, a Skrull, who convinces Spider-Man, the Hulk, Wolverine, and Ghost Rider that Reed, Sue, Johnny, and Ben were all killed by the Mole Man. Hearing the news, the heroes band together to avenge the deaths of their pals as the New Fantastic Four.
The regular FF is a powerful team, but with this new roster, it was massively OP, especially when going up against Mole Man. When the FF was revealed to be just fine, the new team was disbanded, and while it was just for a single issue, this insane grouping was far too powerful to work in a monthly comic.
