7. Editorial BS...

Apparently, DC editors get so flustered over things of little or no importance, that they send their creators pithy, bitchy little notes like €œBatman never sits down€. This is just forcing re-writes when re-writes simply are not needed.

Oh, and for the record: Batman sits down ALL THE TIME. Not only when he uses the Bat-Computer, but also when he flies the Bat-Plane, drives the Bat-Mobile and sails the Bat-Boat. He also sits down in Jim Gordon€™s office, occasionally. In fact, Batman sits down quite a lot.

Stupid stuff like this, which, we are reliably informed, effects both major publishers like a persistent skin rash, really needs to be sorted out. It is pedantic and petty and frankly, it makes it harder for the writers and artists to deliver quality stories every month if they are always looking over their shoulders and worrying about what their touchy editors will think.

Editors: if you hire good freelancers, you€™ll get good work. Either you trust them or you don€™t, you cannot have it both ways.
