Only there for a day or two at most, Earl finds himself getting drawn back into Craw County, Alabama after finding out what's happened to his hometown since his old daddy passed away. This series is another slow-burner that builds the world so completely that you (much like Earl himself) find yourself getting sucked in and dragged down by a town corrupted and twisted by years of manipulation, manipulation that Earl finds is squarely at the hands of one dangerous character: Coach Boss. For those of you that love a good revenge movie, or anything starring a main protagonist that's "just getting too old for this" then this is for you. An amazing study of a man pushed to the edge and choosing what's right over what's sensible, a man against the odds - Southern Bastards is a truly gripping book.
