Yes, it's a stick-figure superhero comic book, but before you dismiss this out-of-hand, consider that Cynicalman had a long run as the back-up feature in Scott McCloud's Eisner-Award-winning ZOT! for Eclipse comics, and has been published near-continuously in one form or another ever since. The series follows Cynicalman, "America's Laid-Off Superhero" and his misadventures alongside the dubiously-powered Board Of Superheros (it should be noted that DC and Marvel share a rare joint-copyright over the term "Superheroes" and other variants) along with characters like Cute-Girl, Stupid-Boy, and Waldo Brakefluid. The characters have developed a tremendous amount of depth over the years, and Matt's following only grows as he delights in making friends with his readers. It should be noted that thanks to friends of creator Matt Feazell, a low-budget movie has been made to show the viability of this type of project, and if someone ever tosses him a suitable amounts of money, that person could easily make the lowest-budget Hollywood 'blockbuster' in cinematic history. Bill Maher would make a great Cynicalman, Patton Oswalt would make a great Mr. Know-It-All, and Devo's Mark Mothersbaugh would be amazing as Doctor Pweent. He'd be a shoo-in for the music, as well.
