10. The Venus Girdle

An uncomfortable reminder of the fetishistic overtones that snuck so often into earlier Wonder Woman comics, the Venus Girdle is a tool of the Amazons used to, quote, 'compel complete obedience to loving authority'.

Somehow, the sheer creepiness of a weapon that totally removes people's free will is never explicitly called out in the comic, leaving you worried every single time it's mentioned. It also serves to ruin your ability to support Wonder Woman and the good guys, because if they're doing weird stuff like restraining people with magic brainwashing belts, maybe they weren't all that great to begin with.

As such, it's no real surprise that the Venus Girdle has fallen into obscurity in recent Wonder Woman comics, as literally nobody wants to be the guy to bring back the weird, bondage-esque belt created by an actual porn artist.
