10 Spider-Man Sidekicks Everyone Forgets

10. Black Cat

Felicia Hardy is a character who has been closely tied to Spider-Man since she first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #194 in 1979. Peter had an immediate attraction to the sexy cat burglar, and in much the same way Bruce Wayne let Selina Kyle off the hook over the years, Pete did pretty much the same for Felicia.

They definitely went up against one another in the early days, but in time, they fell in love, and Felicia left her supervillain days behind her to become an antihero. She also ended up partnering with Pete, and the two went out into the night together to solve crimes and beat up bad guys.

Their relationship continued for some time, but it ran into a bit of a snag when Pete came to the realization that Felicia wasn't attracted to him. She was attracted to Spider-Man, and while Pete and Spider-Man are the same person, she was fairly disinterested in Pete and his life outside of the costume.

Over the years, they have worked together with Spider-Man taking the lead role, which makes her an occasional sidekick. They have engaged in an on-again/off-again type of relationship for years, and it's unlikely Felicia will ever be completely removed from Spidey's supporting cast of characters.
