Johnnys skin was eventually put sown back together (with the addition of some patches of dead human and animal skin) and reattached but not without a few scarsthus the name Stitches. Eventually Johnny Stitches rose through the ranks of the infamous DC comics Intergangof which he became head of in Gotham City.
