9. Spider-Man The Jerk
For many comic book fans, Spider-Man is one of the most relateable superheroes out there - a young and vibrant character that is quick witted and intelligent, but also socially awkward and a little shy. But he's also had moments of being a jerk and a bully himself, especially when it involves his long time adversary-turned-friend, Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch.
Some of Spidey's worst behavior can be found in one of the earliest issues of Amazing Spider-Man. In it, Spider-Man crashes one of Johnny's parties and, without provocation, proceeds to antagonize Storm and his friends with webbing and insults. Johnny's posse is justifiably ticked off by Spider-Man and demand that Storm gets rid of the uninvited guest.
Spidey is so unlikeable in this story, it is very difficult to relate and sympathize with the character. He's no worse than his high school nemesis Flash Thompson, picking a fight with the Human Torch just because.
Fortunately, Marvel moved far away from this characterization of Spider-Man shortly after this issue.
