Multiversal madness!

By Bryant Lucas /

Variety is the spice of life, or at least it seems that way for the post-New 52 DC Universe€ or should I say Multiverse! That€™s right, the monotonous, dark, gritty tone of the New 52 is out, and the diversity is in! And nothing exemplifies this like Grant Morrison€™s Earth-shattering, ground-breaking, life-changing, super meta, postmodern event: The Multiversity. Originally announced in 2009 as a follow up to both 52 and Final Crisis, The Multiversity was a six-year labour of love that catalogued the 52 different universes in the DC Multiverse. Comprised of various artists with various styles, this psychedelic, meta tour-de-force celebrates the 75 years of DC€™s long history while highlighting the publisher€™s capacity for diverse story telling. As DC wraps up their other quasi-multiversal event, Convergence, we here at Whatculture are looking to the diverse future (or futures depending on your view of the spacetime and/or hypertime) of the DC Multiverse. Morrison€™s goal was to establish different universes DC writers could develop in the future, and now that his epic has established an official list of worlds comprising the DC Multiverse, here are the top 10 wacky alternate universes we want to see DC use sometime soon!
