10 Weird Alternate Versions Of Spider-Man

10. Spider-Punk

Spider-Verse was the event that really opened the floodgates for alternate versions of Spider-Man as hundreds of them came together to stop the multiverse-hopping murderers the Inheritors. One of the standout stars of the book was Spider-Punk.

A big part of what makes Spider-Punk great is simply his design, a Spider-Man costume with a torn denim jacket and spiked mohawk. However, his tie-in issue also revealed a lot about what makes him one of the best Spider-Men out there.

Hobart Brown (the anti-hero Prowler in the main Marvel Universe) comes from a world that was trapped under the tyrannical regime of President Norman Osborn. As Spider-Man, he fought the regime by inciting the common people to rebel as part of his Spider-Army of anarchists.

In the final battle between the two, Osborn led an army of symbiote enhanced cops to crack down on the rebellion. Luckily, as every Spider-Man fan knows, Venom is especially weak to loud noises.

Blasting his music through 15,000 watts worth of amps (all set to 11), Spider-Man defeated Osborn's army with the power of punk rock. Then he smashed his guitar over Norman's head because that is the only acceptably rock and roll way to beat your nemesis.
