10. Namor And Sandy - Various Comics

There are few romances funnier than Namor - Lord of the Seven Seas, King of Atlantis, Master of the Seas - dating the daughter of an oil baron. But this is the exact scenario that Marvel cooked up for us in the form of Sandy, a human woman who Namor meets in his childhood, and goes on to date when he becomes an adult.

So, what happens to this romance for the ages? Well, we... don't really know. She literally stops being mentioned in the comics whatsoever - likely to allow Namor to continue his adulthood - and continued pursuit of Sue Storm - without any complications.

While fan speculation is that she died of old age, Marvel's sliding timescale makes this theory less than clear. Basically, the scenario is either that Namor didn't care enough to try and extend her life to be as long as his so she died, or that she got old and he decided he no longer wished to 'tap that', and so pretended that she never existed.
