10. Superman Has One Power

While it completely rewrites maybe the single most important detail about Superman, it's undeniably fascinating to think about the fan theory that Superman has a single superpower, instead of the entire Swiss army knife of abilities he canonically possesses.

Although this initially sounds crazy, it would actually make a lot of sense for Superman to have one specific superpower: the ability of telekinesis. Not only would this explain how he can fly, it also could explain powers like heat vision, which would merely entail him vibrating molecules until fire forms. Add to this the potential for subconscious mind control, and you also have a more solid reasoning as to why nobody recognises Clark Kent as Superman - because he's telling them not to.

Sure, it doesn't explain powers like his super hearing or X-ray vision, but it's still a fun theory - even if it's not one that's going to be proven true anytime soon.
