The red and black mercenary has continually drifted from group to group across the Earth, even venturing into the darkest voids of space to find somewhere, anywhere he might belong. Despite wandering far and wide, Wade has never really had a chance to make a proper group of friends.

The few people he did consider to be his closest allies were also people he has continually abused in quite horrific ways, simply because he is insane. This cycle of abuse exploded into a massive battle between Wade and all of his ex-best-friends, ranging from Bob the Hydra agent and Blind Al to Taskmaster and Weasel, each with their own personal vendetta against the immortal immoral psychopath.

This battle ended with wade being shot to pieces by everyone who was left alive after the fight, but since he still couldn't die, everyone left Wade alone and unsatisfied, filled with the knowledge that there was now literally no one in the universe that liked him beside us, his fans, and he was truly alone with no way to end the pain.
