12. He Killed A Supervillain With A Lightsaber

When Marvel created a separate reboot of their superheroes for modern audiences, they had to modify some of their most iconic characters.

Now, Captain America was created during World War II to inspire readers to stand up against the tyranny of the Nazis. However, WWII was over half a century ago, and supposedly, modern comic readers can't relate to it.

You know what they can relate to? Star Wars. In the reboot of The Avengers, The Ultimates, Cap battles a Super-Solider called The Colonel.

What is The Colonel's primary weapon? A double-bladed lightsaber. Okay, I know it's technical name is an Energy Sword, but come on! It's clearly a lightsaber! The Ultimates mockingly call The Colonel "Darth Maul".

After a brutal fight, The Colonel is left at Cap's feet defeated. Normally, Captain America would make a patriotic speech or a bad pun. The Colonel even mocks this fact by saying, "Is this where you crack a joke? Is this where finish me with a witty barb?"

However, this is a different Cap. This is a Cap who believes in a more permanent solution. Without saying a word, he plunges the lightsaber into The Colonel's chest, killing him.
