5 Comics Unlikely To Get A Big Budget Movie

5. Metamorpho

Now, you€™ve probably not heard of him despite the fact he€™s in the DC Roster. And on first glance, if you have, you€™re probably thinking €œHey, Metamorpho is pretty cool, why€™s he on this list?€. Well, let€™s look at the facts... Rex Mason, is a bit of a play on Indiana Jones. He was an adventurer looking for all sorts of artefacts in places we€™ve never heard of (and I am ABSOLUTELY certain, were often made up but hey, Geography isn€™t my forte). So far, so good right? What if I told you, his ability is to be able to become any one of the elements you see on the Periodic Table? Now, I€™m not trying to say it wouldn€™t be awesome to be able to fight bad guys and turn into say thallium but why the hell would you want to? Throw in the fact that his powers come from being created by the Sun God Ra and I see some kinda confusing sub-plot. A bit like when Billy Zane was running around in that purple suit being the highly believable €œMan Who Cannot Die€ aka The Phantom and he had that skull ring which for whatever reason was highly important. I€™m not pleading ignorance but that film more or less made the mythology of the Phantom pretty much unenjoyable. Imagine a film studio trying to tackle a guy who can turn into zinc and is some descendant of a greek God. It€™s just unlikely to get audiences outside of the great comic book community thinking €œLET€™S SEE THAT.€ And thus studios probably wouldn€™t attempt to put money into an obscure character such as Metamorpho. I will take this opportunity to point out, he may appear on the small screen soonish however.
