8 Cancelled Marvel Legacy Series That The Fans Will Miss

3. Luke Cage

Despite being made in a knee-jerk kind of manor, as he was made during the height of those weird 'blaxploitation' days, Luke Cage (or, Power Man as he's very rarely known as) has enjoyed a lot of love from the fans; even before his fantastic Netflix series. Much like that stellar series, David F. Walker and Nelson Blake have portrayed Luke Cage brilliantly.

The short lived Legacy series of Luke Cage looks set to conclude with issue #10. Or is it #170? ‘Legacy’ is an odd one to quantify. The positive here though it that it appears to be ending on a fairly light note, one which focuses on Cage enjoying time as a father.

Yes, within Marvel’s mythos Luke Cage and Jessica Jones (who has weirdly been known as 'Jewel' in the past, which really conflicts with Krysten Ritter's portrayal) are more or less always officially together and more or less always have a daughter together. This is the kind of emotional storytelling that people who love guns and explosions and arm wrestling matches may loathe, yet most readers will adore.

As opposed to other Legacy stories, Cage’s appears to be a delightful conclusion to a story as opposed to barely making it out of a solo run alive. The penultimate arc, however, sees Cage escaping from a prison handled by the Ringmaster, who is considerably more dangerous than his somewhat ridiculous name suggests.
