8 Comic Villains Humiliated By Daredevil

3. The Matador

There's forever a certain charm to the comic book creations that Marvel was serving up in the 1960s. And one such creation, was Manuel Eloganto, aka the Matador.

Ridiculously cheesy, the Matador was a pissed off and brutal bullfighter who turned to a life of crime. After being distracted by the boos of the crowd, Eloganto was battered by a bull - and thus, he swore revenge on the world by becoming a criminal.

The M.O. of the Matador in his early comic book days was the same as pretty much any and all villains of the '60s; he wanted to get rich quick.

When one particular attempt to hold-up security vans full of cash put him in the crosshairs of Daredevil, the whole episode ended in particularly humiliating fashion for Manuel Eloganto.

After a brief back-and-forth fight, the Guardian Devil took down Eloganto by charging at him and butting him in the same way that a bull would. Yep, that's the Matador cheesily being bested by the bizarre sight of Matt Murdock diving head-first at him.

Not only was this embarrassing for the Matador, one could also say it's a tad embarrassing for Daredevil because of how outright cringeworthy this attack was. But hey, that's the Silver Age of Comics for you.
