Phantom Lady was an example of “Good Girl Art,” defined as “[...] illustration depicting an attractive young woman, usually in skimpy or form-fitting clothing, and designed for erotic stimulation,” which caused some controversy when comics were under attack for causing delinquency.

Daughter of fictional U.S. Senator Henry Knight, Sandra Knight used a Black Light Projector that could blind her enemies and make her invisible. She would eventually be absorbed into the DC Universe where she joined Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters of Earth-X.
