Batman is perhaps the most prolific superhero of all time. There are to date 8 live-action films based on the guy, many of which have drawn from some of Batman's greatest comic stories. The '89 film, for example, drew heavily from The Killing Joke. Batman Begins drew from Year One. The Dark Knight from The Long Halloween. The Dark Knight Rises from Knightfall, No Man's Land, and The Dark Knight Returns. However, all those are pretty mainstream comic stories. They're the type of graphic novels that, if you went into a comic book store and told the guy behind the counter you were just getting into Batman, you'd be directed to first, along with a few other famous stories, like Hush, Death in the Family, and Under the Red Hood. Let's try to be a little creative. Let's think outside the box here. We're going for more obscure Batman titles. Ones that you might know about, but probably never read. With much ado, let's get dive into the Batman universe, and dissect what comics are just begging to be brought to the big screen.
