Star Wars: 10 Best Expanded Universe Comics From The New Canon
10. Captain Phasma (2017)
Penned by Kelly Thompson (Mr and Mrs X) and drawn by Marco Checchetto (Daredevil), this superstar Marvel team depicted Captain Phasma's actions following the downfall of Starkiller base and her escape from the doomed planet. The four-issue limited series follows the chromed warrior as she attempts to cover her tracks and hunt down the First Order officer that uncovered her betrayal of the First Order back in The Force Awakens.
Kelly Thompson manages to do more for the character in four issues than was done in both The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. Phasma is more menacing and dangerous than ever before. Marco Checchetto's art is stunning as usual, with every scene popping off the page, making it hard to put the book down.
There is no better comic to read that fills in the gaps between The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi.
