Jam packed with unadulterated filth, sleaze, and unflinching gore Deadpool stars Ryan Reynolds (Ted, Green Lantern) as the Merc With The Mouth himself, alongside Morena Baccarin (Homeland, Gotham, The Flash) as girlfriend Vanessa, and Ed Skrein (The Transporter Refuelled, The Sweeney) as sworn enemy Ajax. After former special services operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson is diagnosed with terminal cancer, he is offered the chance of a dangerous experimental cure designed to activate latent mutant genes within the human body. After seemingly not working, and subjected to prolonged torture, Wade's mutant side finally kicks in and he develops extraordinary healing power but it also comes at a price; he whole face and body is disfigured with burn like scars.

Determined to hunt down Ajax to punish him for the injuries he helped inflict on him, and to find a cure a for his disfigurement, Wade goes on a one man brutal vigilante mission to get his revenge. It is a story littered with in jokes, wonderfully portrayed self awareness, and a penchant to cause offence and laughter in equal measure. Overseen by director and Tim Miller, the film obliterated expectations at the box office and destroyed all other films in its wake.
