Win The Guv'nor On DVD

Plus a copy of the best selling autobiography documenting the life of Lenny McLean

By Dan Powell /

Famous (and infamous) as a bareknuckle boxer, bouncer, enforcer, and doorman from the late ‘60s, Lenny McLean originally grew up in the East End of London before subsequently going on to be the best-selling author and star of Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels. Considered by many to be Britain's hardest man, McLean came to an untimely death in 1998 but has a reputation that lives on.

In Guv'nor director Paul Van Carter follows Lenny's son Jamie as he explores his father’s story from his troubled upbringing, including the physical abuse he suffered via his stepfather, to his local fame and later stardom. On the way we meet a variety of characters from East London legends through to Hollywood figures like director Guy Ritchie and actor Jason Flemyng. What emerges is a picture of a complex, driven and principled family man.

The Guv'nor is available now on DVD, Blu-ray & Digital Download 10th October, 2016 courtesy of Lionsgate UK. Buy it here.
