For fans of anthology horrors such as Trick 'r Treat, Southbound and V/H/S, you may want to check out XX, a new anthology consisting of four short films directed by four different female directors.

The four shorts are titled The Box, The Birthday Party, Don't Fall and Her Only Living Son; and were directed by Jovanka Vuckovic, Annie Clark (better know as musician St. Vincent), Roxanne Benjamin and Karyn Kusama respectively.

Kusama's entry is a particularly big draw for the film considering the critical success of her film The Invitation last year (if you haven't seen it yet do yourself a favour - it's incredible). The inclusion of four female directors here has drummed up some buzz for the movie too, after all it's always great to look at horror from a different perspective than we're used to.

So far the movie has enjoyed mostly positive reviews, so keep an eye out!
