The Previous Movie: Before Todd Phillips truly blew up with The Hangover franchise, he made movies like Road Trip, and the lesser-known but still outrageously funny Vince Vaughn, Luke Wilson and Will Ferrell-starring comedy Old School, about three depressed middle-aged guys who start their own college fraternity to try to re-live their glory days. Why It Was Abandoned: A sequel was written in 2006, though both Ferrell and Vaughn turned the script, which saw the pair heading off to Spring Break, down. Ferrell stated, "I read . Some super funny set pieces, but...I think Vince had the same reaction. Were just kind of doing the same thing again. It was like us going to Spring Break, but weve got to find this guy whos the head of a fraternity. Once again, funny things but its just us once again back in a fraternity setting. It just felt like it was repeating." Given the two bloated Hangover sequels Phillips forced on us recently, here's one sequel I'd actually want to see him make.
