10 Actors Arrested Whilst Filming Movies

2. Charlie Sheen

Fans have often said that Charlie Sheen is and was, Two and a Half Men. The show could not and should not go on without him, and there was a time when the writers of the show agreed with this statement.

Sheen was arrested on Christmas Day in 2009 after a report of domestic violence in his home in Colorado where he was living with wife Brooke Mueller. He was arrested and ultimately released on an $8,500 bond, before he was charged later in February with third-degree assault. Two weeks after that, Sheen entered rehab, citing preventative measures. Two And A Half Men's show-runners opted to temporarily suspend the show instead of writing the character out for the rest of the season.

The case carried over until 2010, when Sheen pleaded guilty to a misdemeanour assault, the result of events that stemmed from Christmas Day. He was sentenced to 30 days in rehab, 30 days probation, and 36 hours of anger management counselling. His stints in rehab, combined with his alcohol and drug abuse problems led to Two and a Half Men being suspended once more in January 2011 and it was this that finally led to Sheen being fired from the show.

He allegedly repeatedly turned up drunk to filming and publicly insulting the show's producer and co-creator, Chuck Lorre, in several interviews.
