10 Actors Fired From Harry Potter

10. Sharon Sandhu And Sitara Shah - The Patil Sisters

Though the pair's first real moment to shine undoubtedly came during The Goblet of Fire's Yule Ball, with the Patil sisters, Parvati and Padma, accompanying Harry and Ron to the glamorous event in that Triwizard tournament-boasting flick, that wasn't actually the first we'd seen of the dynamic duo in the Potter-verse.

One film earlier, the sisters were actually played by two completely different thespians, though, as Sharon Sandhu and Sitara Shah occupied the roles of Padma and Parvati, respectively. However, in the case of the former, Sharon was only credited as Girl #2 in The Prisoner of Azkaban, while Sitara could at least be seen going toe-to-toe with a boggart in a Defence Against the Dark Arts class. So that's something.

By the time of the follow-up, both women were recast, with Afshan Azad taking over as Padma and Shefali Chowdhury stepping in as Parvati. For whatever reason, director Mike Newell and Warner Bros. clearly felt they needed to change-up the Patils if they were to have a more prominent role in the series going forward and both Azad and Chowdhury would stay on as the Patil duo for the remainder of the Harry Potter cinematic story.
